Running Away After Getting Pregnant with the Tyrant’s Child (24)

* * *

In the end, Chef Natalie brought out a snack and Aristine’s meal was successfully completed.

Of course, it goes without saying that this only strengthened the fighting spirit in Launelian and Tarkan.

‘Ugh, why did I do that?’

Aristine covered her head.

Once her stomach was full and her rationality returned, she was embarrassed that she shouted, ‘this isn’t Lord Chicken’.

However, the chicken that she felt with her soul was certainly not such unpalatable food.

‘Ahh, they must had put so much effort into cooking it; I shouldn’t have reacted like that.’

After becoming pregnant, her emotions have been running wild.

‘And it’s been a really long time since I saw Tarkan…’

They couldn’t even enjoy their reunion at the imperial palace. When she got back to the mansion, they were with Launelian the whole time, and she ended it screaming Lord Chicken.

Tarkan didn’t seem particularly upset, but Aristine felt sorry towards him.

“If it’s still bothering you, how about you give His Highness Tarkan a present?”

A court lady, who had watched Aristine groan through her bath, suggested.

“A present?”

“Yes, something that His Highness Tarkan will like.”

“Something Khan likes…”

Aristine fell into thought as the court lady combed through her hair.

“May I recommend something?”

“We have always served His Highness Tarkan up close, so we know his preferences well.”

“Indeed, it is obvious what His Highness Tarkan will like.”

The court ladies looked at Aristine with sly smiles.

Just looking at their Princess Consort’s cuddly and soft appearance after her bath, there was no need to prepare another gift.

‘But she’s in the early stages of pregnancy so that can’t be done.’

‘Still, it’s been a while since they’ve been together; it would be nice to have a special event.’

‘My, I feel bad for His Highness Tarkan having to restrain himself.’

But as they say, the longer the wait, the sweeter the reward.

The court ladies went ‘hehehe’, giggling among themselves.

They had prepared a variety of things before they left Irugo. But contrary to expectations, Aristine shook her head.

“No, it’s okay.”

A present Tarkan would like.

When she thought that, there was only one thing that came to mind.

There was something that Tarkan himself told Aristine that he liked.

‘It’s a little embarrassing though.’

Since Aristine was not a pervert—she believed that even though she kneaded someone’s chest like dough—it felt embarrassing to match the tastes of a shy pervert.

‘But I can do it for my husband!’

Aristine clenched her fists and steeled her resolve.

“I would like you all to prepare what I am about to describe…”

As she lowered her voice to a whisper, the eyes of the court ladies widened as they listened.

But that only lasted for a moment before strange smiles appeared on their faces.

“Huhu, my goodness, Princess Consort…”

“You are always ahead of us.”

“Just trust us. We will prepare the most special one.”

The court ladies looked at Aristine with determination, bowed and left the room.

Aristine tilted her head.

‘I mean, what’s special about it?’

She only learned what they mean sometime later.

Tarkan’s vision was dizzy, and he shook his head. For a moment, his sight cleared, and he could see Launelian whose head was on the table.

‘So he’s finally down.’

When Launelian smiled at him and asked him to have a drink, he was already somewhat prepared.

However, his preparedness was to no avail.

‘What kind of alcohol is so…’

He clicked his tongue.

Tarkan has a considerably high alcohol tolerance. Since ancient times, an Irugoian warrior must not only be skilled in battle but must be able to hold their drink.

However, even Tarkan, who was said to be the greatest warrior, was amazed by Launelian’s drinking capacity. No, frankly, it seemed like he was holding on with mere will and stubbornness later on.

It was as if he couldn’t lose a fight against a thief who kidnapped his little sister who was so precious that nothing could compare.

However, it was the same for Tarkan.

He could never lose.

Because there was somewhere he had to go after getting Launelian to drop.

Tarkan rose to his feet and filled his body with aura. At that, the alcohol sweeping through his body was blown away.

In an instant, his dulled mind grew sharper.

Tarkan looked down at Launelian who was utterly motionless. Then at the empty bottle rolling around the both of them.

‘How the hell did he drink all this? He doesn’t even have aura…is this guy really human?’

Tarkan did not purify his blood streams while drinking with Launelian.
He wanted to have a fair fight.

However, his body was already acclimated to aura so naturally, he had a certain level of resistance to alcohol. Even then, he was so drunk that he felt light-headed, so he was amazed at how Launelian was able to hold on till now.

He couldn’t help but laugh, knowing it was because his younger sister was that important to him.

In any case, it was good to know that Aristine had a brother who cared for her this much.

When Tarkan left the room, Launelian’s servant gave him a bow and entered the room.

It looked like he didn’t have to worry about Launelian.
