Forget My Husband, I’ll Go Make Money – Side Story 7.2

Right at that moment, an ominous energy wafted in from outside the greenhouse.

Not just Durante, but even the warriors who had been chatting tensed up.

Bang!

Soon enough, the door slammed open, shaking the room.

Who would dare intrude so rudely when the Emperor Emeritus and the current emperor were present—?

“My dear!”

Nephther’s face lit up and he smiled widely at the intruder.

“How was the hot spring? Did you like it?”

“Father.”

“You must try this specialty beer! It’s absolutely delicious!” Nephther held out a beer bottle in an ice bucket. “You came out faster than I expected. I knew you missed me.”

“That’s not—”

“Yes, yes, you can take your time and enjoy the hot spring later. Come sit and catch up with Father.”

“…Well, you can go with me later too.”

Tarkan muttered softly.

Nephther raised a brow at his son.

‘This stiff boy knows how to act like a fox now?’

He was impressed. Since days of old, a man must know how to be sly to win his wife’s love.

At this rate, a granddaughter was in the books!

“The hot springs aren’t important right now!”

Aristine shouted at Tarkan.

Tarkan was shocked by his wife’s rejection.

Nephther grinned. “Right, have a drink with Father first…”

“Forget beer!”

“What?!”

Now it was Nephther’s turn to be shocked. He had been waiting for this day!

“Lu, Lu is…! Lu is in danger!”

“…Who is in danger?”

Nephther frowned.

Aristine looked into Nephther’s eyes.

She thought of Hamill’s turquoise eyes that she had seen in the water’s reflection. Staring back at her, were turquoise eyes bearing the same hue.

As he stared at Aristine, Nephther’s expression became increasingly stiff.

Finally, a dry voice escaped his lips.

“…What are you talking about, Rineh?”

‘Lu’, she said.

From the look in Aristine’s eyes, he just knew. He just knew who she was talking about.

“Is it Hamill?!”

His voice trembled uncontrollably.

And desperately.

* * *

Aristine remembered every single thing that was shown to her through the Monarch’s Sight.

So, she had all the information she needed.

There was a calendar on the wall with numbers scribbled on it that seemed to represent the money they collected.

‘And they crossed out the past dates.’

The last date crossed out was three days away. The weather looked similar to this area.

Plus—

‘I saw that local specialty beer that’s only sold here!’

The same beer Nephther offered was scattered everywhere in that scene.

Hence, gathering the information was not too hard.

Before long, Aristine received a report that they had found the exact location she had seen in the Monarch’s Sight.

.

.

Three days later.

Aristine was hiding behind a wooden pillar and muttered.

“It’s so fascinating.”

“What is?” Tarkan asked as he pulled a cloak over his wife’s head.

“That this place is so close.”

“…”

“It’s like we were destined to meet again.”

“Destined, my foot.”

Tarkan clicked his tongue.

Currently, the two of them were in front of the loan sharks’ hideout where Hamill was seen in the Monarch’s Sight.

“You, stay here with the warriors. It’s dangerous.”

“All the more reason why I should go with you.”

Aristine looked up at Tarkan and smiled.

“Aren’t I safest next to my husband?”

“…Seriously.”

Tarkan shook his head. But he didn’t tell her to stay behind anymore.
Instead, he held his wife tightly by the waist.

“Then hold on tight.”

“Mn.”

With his wife in his embrace, Tarkan positioned himself and leapt.

His movements were graceful yet swift, like a black panther.

After they landed inside the building without making a sound, Tarkan raised a brow.

“Wait. That’s odd? I sense…”

“Shh!”

Aristine pressed her finger to her lips. Then she pressed her ear against the thin door.

“Brother, we are not bad guys. We’re going to get our money anyways, so I’d like to get it peacefully, without getting blood everywhere for no reason.”

A voice flittered into her ears. The exact same one she had heard in the Monarch’s Sight.

“So for the last time. Where is my money?”

Aristine pulled away from the door.

“We must have come just in time! No need to keep listening. Let’s break down the door!

“Wait, I don’t think we need to—.”

“If we keep waiting, Lu’s wrist will get cut off!”

“No, what I mean is—.”

“Enter on three! One, two, three!”

Tarkan looked at his wife and sighed heavily. Then as his wife wished, he broke down the door.

Boom!

“W-What the hell?”

“Intruders?!”

Flustered voices came from inside.

“Stop right there!”

Aristine strode into the room and declared confidently.

But.

‘…Hm?’

Something was off.

Why was the mohawk guy lying on the floor, getting spanked? Meanwhile, Lu was sitting lazily on the sofa.

“…Exactly as I thought.”

Tarkan shook his head back and forth.

Then he stiffened.

‘Wait, this scene…!’

He knew exactly how Aristine would interpret this.

He quickly checked his wife’s face. Sure enough, Aristine was making the very expression he thought she would have.

“What the, is this your kind of thing?”

Aristine looked appalled as she watched the mohawk guy getting spanked, and Hamill, who sat there like his master.

“Pervert.”

To be exact, an expression like she was seeing a pervert.

This font is very beautiful, but the other one was a bit classier
I don’t mind any though, but if it’s a tiny bit larger that would be amazing
The comments now are a lot better
Thanks for your hard work Miss Ruby!
