So, the thing about sweets is kinda nice. Your brain can only use glucose as an energy source. Needing sweets is an exaggeration bc your body breaks down the stored glucose but if you go long periods without food, your brain will suffer. Also, it is better to eat complex carbs (like whole grains etc, you can google more if you&#039;re curious) before an exam (or when you need to use your brain) so it slowly digests and releases a consistent amount of sugar.
