This Evangeline is the Baden family’s ancestor, Lucia’s ancestor. Since the man is from the Madoh empire, I think he might be the Taran family’s ancestor, Hugo’s long-dead ancestor. Evangeline says she wants to have Cael’s child, so I think she’ll give birth to Cael’s child, making the child Baden’s half-sibling and Lucia and Hugo’s common ancestor.
Lucia’s grandfather also said the Baden family was a military family, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Baden learned to fight from his step-father and half-brother.
And I think Cael also saw Lucia and Hugo’s futures and I think he created the pendant to allow Lucia to dream of her future and change her fate to save the Taran and Baden families. I bet the child between Evangeline and Cael will be named Taran.
It’s been so long since I read this story. After Damian’s side story, I just wasn’t interested in something with a new character.
