It’s how the handle interacts with the blade. Modern scalpels are made in a way so you have seperate blades and then the handle.

This way when the blade gets dull or break it can be replaced without having to replace the whole thing.

The scalpel she’s designed is in one piece. So when the blade is used the entire thing, handle and all, need to be tossed, and that’s highly impractical.]]></description>
