His situation was one of misunderstanding because our FL didn’t actually confront him earlier. Her relationship with her “friend” is far worse considering that her friend clearly wanted to be more. Not to mention he still is disparaging the ML for being “commoner scum” subtly by insulting the territory and the fact the guy is a “war hero”. Nothing says trash like disrespecting the people who keep you from being slaughtered by other nations.
